The credentialing process employed by Midwest
emergency Associates addresses the following key points:
- Each applicant will be board certified
or board-prepared in Emergency Medicine.
- Each applicant's professional qualifications
and background will be thoroughly reviewed and verified.
- Career gaps and adverse information will
be examined and clarified.
- Each applicant must have a current license
in good standing to practice medicine in the state
in which you practice
as well as a Federal DEA number.
- Each applicant will be interviewed by
the Medical Director.
- Continuing Medical Education requirements
by the state of Illinois and the American College of Emergency
Physicians will be met.
Only upon satisfactory review of the above
will an applicant be recommended to the Hospital's credentialing
committee.
Once a physician is appointed to the Medical
Staff, the re-credentialing process will occur in accordance
with the Medical Staff bylaws. Departmental performance evaluations
will be performed on an annual basis by the Director of Emergency
Medicine based upon Quality Assurance and Risk Management
evaluations. |
