Dr. Saif Nazir is the Chief Executive Officer of MEA Management, LLC. He has been with MEA since its inception in 1991.
Dr. Nazir is a board certified emergency physician and a fellow in the American College of Emergency Medicine. Having received his training at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, he has maintained an academic position there since 1990.
An emergency physician for 18 years, Dr. Nazir has been the Medical Director of Ingalls Emergency Services for 12 years and the Chairman of the Department for the past 7 years. He is on several hospital committees, and is the Chairman of the Patient Safety and PI Sub-Committee and the Co-Chairman of the Credentials Committee.
He has been a strong advocate for the Stroke Program at Ingalls Hospital and is the Chairman of the Stroke Committee. He serves as an Affiliate Faculty member of the American Heart Association.
Dr. Nazir is the Past President of the Illinois College of Emergency Physicians. His previous roles at ICEP have included Secretary/Treasurer, Member at Large and Chair of the Education Committee. He has been on the Board of Directors for 6 years and has been a Councilor for the College since 1996.
Dr. Nazir is an expert on Observation Centers. He has been the Medical Director of the Short Stay Unit at Ingalls Hospital which he started in 1995. He has lectured nationally on Observation Medicine and Cost-Effective practice of emergency medicine. He is also involved with development of the Educational Program for MEA Allied Health Professionals and Urgent Care Physicians.
Dr. Kolka is Vice President
of MEA Management and President of an MEA affiliated medical
group. Dr. Kolka is the Medical Director of the Emergency
Department at Provena Mercy Center in Aurora, Illinois. Dr.
Kolka has served as President and Managing Partner of a five-hospital
emergency medicine group.
Dr. Kolka is residency trained and board certified in Emergency
Medicine and is a Fellow in the American College of Emergency
Physicians. He has special expertise in emergency clinical
operations and emergency medical services (EMS).
Prior to attending medical school, Dr. Kolka served as both
a paramedic and a policeman. With this dual background in
Emergency Medicine and EMS, Dr. Kolka is presently serving
as the Vice President and Medical Director of our affiliated
critical care transport company, Air Angels.
Dr. Kolka also has a special expertise in working with the
Emergency Department team to improve patient satisfaction.
Dr. Kolka and other MEA partners have worked with a national
consulting firm to create a cutting edge patient satisfaction
program. Dr. Kolka leads this MEA initiative in all of our

Dr. Sullivan is the president
and CEO of MEA Management and several affiliates and served
for a decade as the Chairman of the Department of Emergency
Medicine at Ingalls Memorial Hospital in Harvey, Illinois.
He has been practicing Emergency Medicine for over twenty
years. Dr. Sullivan is a well-known national expert in Emergency
Medicine Risk Management, Patient Safety, and EMTALA. Dr. Sullivan is also a member of the AMA.
Dr.
Sullivan is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine, a Fellow
in the American College of Emergency Physicians, and
has maintained an academic position as Associate Professor
of Emergency Medicine at Cook County Hospital/Rush Medical
College since 1986. Dr. Sullivan also has a legal degree,
obtaining his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the IIT Kent College
of Law in 1988.
Dr. Sullivan is a past
President of the Illinois College of Emergency Physicians,
has served as the Chairman
of the
American College of Emergency Physicians Medical Legal Committee
and is currently serving on the ACEP National Professional
Liability Task Force.

Dr. Sullivan

Medicine Risk Management, medical error reduction and patient
safety.

Jane Negronida
is MEA Management, LLC’s
Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel and is a member
of the Illinois Bar and United States District Court for the
Northern District of Illinois. Jane is a native of Boston, Massachusetts. She earned her
Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis
on marketing from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville in
1985. Jane graduated from The John Marshall Law School in 1994.
During law school, she was staff editor for The Journal of
Computer and Information Law. Jane has written in the area
of securities regulation and is a member of the Health Care
Law Committee of the Chicago Bar Association. Jane is co-author
of the article State (Blue Sky) Exemptions for Private Placements
Made in Reliance Upon Regulation D.
Prior to joining MEA, Jane was a partner
in the healthcare department of Harris Kessler & Goldstein LLC which serves
as MEA’s outside counsel. Jane has experience negotiating
and drafting billing contracts, service contracts, licensing
agreements, employment agreements and shareholder/operating
agreements. She has counseled medical and dental providers,
groups, associations and management companies and non-medical
entities from inception to dissolution on formation, corporate
and health care related issues. Jane has negotiated and drafted
stock purchase and asset purchase agreements for the purchase
and sale of professional practices and non-professional businesses
and has advised clients on business structure and planning,
state and federal securities law matters, restrictive covenant
issues, licensing, Stark II, anti-kickback, HIPAA and related
compliance issues.
